Priebus is obvious. Bannon is interesting.
God damn I want a Tarantino buddy movie about those two.

There's more than enough of the Spiceman to go around.

I have to retract it, it's an on message sit down with Reince and Mooch. I believe you consider this part of his integrity.

We'll have to see what goes down, but assuming Spicer is doing it to insure a smooth handover despite the circumstances, I'd say it shows both integrity and class.

Are loyalty and integrity inherently incompatible?

Depends on what you're measuring. Isn't Comey like example 1a here?

Not necessarily.
I like Reince, and while I don't really like Bannon, I don't hate him as much as everybody says I'm supposed to. Besides, their deaths wouldn't resonate with the audience unless they're sympathetic characters on some level.
There's no way it could end other than Reince shooting Bannon, which precipitates everything falling to pieces, but it's more about the journey than the destination.
Everyone will be aware of the destination going in anyway. It's a Tarantino movie.

I don't think it's fair to hold a professional party operative to the same standards as a prosecutor/LEO.

Let me go thand s way then, which occurred to me after I posted: can one have integrity in a profession where lying is a prerequisite? How does one display that integrity?
Edit: Question 2: Can Sessions be described as having integrity when his boss denigrates and challenges his competence and ability and then does nothing.

My integrity claim is based on my belief he operated as an establishment mole first and Press Secretary second.

Difference of opinion then. I categorize that more as party loyalty. Which we have entirely too much of.

I understand what you're saying about party loyalty, but I approve of the establishment desire for Trump not to fly off the rails.

The ability to do surreptitious damage control is based on rank within the administration. The establishment faction just got hobbled.

I haven't seen it (yes, I know that's crazy), but I'm guessing the structure isn't the same. Two hours of only wanting the leads to die is a tough row to hoe.

Note to MSM: keep dragging out the most unflattering pictures of Sarah Huckabee you can find. It really helps cement your lack of bias.

Why is Jill Stein so obsessed with Hillary? Surely any leader of the green party should consider Trump enemy number one by a several country light years.

Here comes the boom: "House Judiciary Committee votes to probe Comey and Clinton’s 2016 campaign"
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...=.1848afc92769
Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee voted Wednesday to request documents about former FBI director James B. Comey’s conversations with the Obama administration and journalists, amending and replacing a Democratic resolution that was designed to obtain documents about Comey’s firing by President Trump.
“In my district, my constituents say, ‘Hey, what’s going on with investigation of the crimes of the previous administration?’ ” said Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.), one of the amendment’s sponsors. “When I hear talk that this contains right-wing conspiracies — well, I’ll tell you, my constituents think what’s going on in the other bill are left-wing conspiracy theories.”
The amendment was a surprise to Rep. Primala Jayapal (D-Wash.), the freshman who had proposed the Democratic resolution of inquiry, which had been expected to fail. In a heated markup, Jayapal and other committee Democrats expressed amazement that Republicans wanted to resurrect questions about the defeated Clinton campaign.
“There appears to be deliberate stonewalling to stop any inquiry into the questions facing us today,” she said. “You want to have another beating of the dead horse of Hillary Clinton and her emails? Fine, I’ll include it. But let’s have another opportunity to debate.”
But over several hours, the drama and farce of the 2016 campaign — and even Bill Clinton’s 1998 impeachment — played out again between Judiciary members. Rep. Steve Chabot (R-Ohio), an impeachment manager and a senior member of the committee, chastened Democrats who said that Clinton had been impeached over a mere sex scandal.
“Bill Clinton was impeached for perjury,” said Chabot. “It had something to do with the fact that he had a history of sexual harassment of women.”

Mooch: Who leaked that to you?
Ryan Lizza: I can't give you that information.
M: What I’m going to do is, I will eliminate everyone in the comms team and we’ll start over.
L: [Laughs]
M: I ask these guys not to leak anything and they can’t help themselves. You’re an American citizen, this is a major catastrophe for the American country. So I’m asking you as an American patriot to give me a sense of who leaked it.
M: Is it an assistant to the President?
L: Like I said, I can't tell you this.
M: O.K., I’m going to fire every one of them, and then you haven’t protected anybody, so the entire place will be fired over the next two weeks.
L: Why is it so important this dinner was kept a secret, surely it would have become public at some point?
M: I’ve asked people not to leak things for a period of time and give me a honeymoon period. They won’t do it.
M: They’ll all be fired by me. I fired one guy the other day. I have three to four people I’ll fire tomorrow. I’ll get to the person who leaked that to you. Reince Priebus—if you want to leak something—he’ll be asked to resign very shortly
M: Reince is a ****ing paranoid schizophrenic, a paranoiac... 'Oh, Bill Shine is coming in. Let me leak the ****ing thing and see if I can cock-block these people the way I cock-blocked Scaramucci for six months.'
M: I’m not Steve Bannon, I’m not trying to suck my own cock. I’m not trying to build my own brand off the ****ing strength of the President. I’m here to serve the country.

Here's the money quote. It's in response to whether Trump still has confidence in Priebus.
"This is a White House that has a lot of different perspectives, because the president hires the very best people. They're not always going to agree. There are going to be a lot of different ideas. Unlike previous administrations, this isn't groupthink."
I don't think I've ever seen a turd so polished.

Of course, the reality, which I've mentioned before, is despite my devotion to Spicezilla, he sucked at press conferences.
Huckabee has no answers, and she ****in' owns that shit. Spicer's brain isn't wired that way.

Not that I or anyone cares, but the first dem declared for 2020 today, and I think it's safe to say between a two term president and the Hillary pre-coronation that the Democrats may make the GOPs 14 2016 candidates look small by comparison. 2020 is going to be a clown show redux.

Looks like students on college campuses aren't the only ones who need safe spaces
First, that 48 percent of conservative respondents would allow courts to fine media outlets that publish stories "which are biased or inaccurate." Only 16 percent would oppose doing so, and 37 percent are unsure.
For liberal respondents, 24 percent favor fines, 29 percent oppose them, and 46 percent are unsure.
The second statistic indicates that 37 percent of conservatives would allow courts to shut down biased media outlets, while 23 percent would oppose doing so, and 39 percent are unsure.
For liberals, the results are inverted: 22 percent support shutting down media outlets, 40 percent oppose, and 38 percent are unsure.
Are the liberal numbers good? Nope. And to be honest, in the heyday of Fox at the height of Bush admin, I probably would have said yes as well.
