for system and app replacement? I can respect that do you use the "fast" option when replacing certain apps using the custom font option?

No, I don't do that....I didn't even know what you were talking about until I looked into Silk just now.....turned it on (custom and fast), restarted and don't see a difference....will turn it off again because there was some warning about being really slow and I don't like slow!

Mix of Helvetica Neue and Helvetica (for baseline reasons) here.

HandelGothic is just so.... 'nineties'.

I think both are quite overused these days. I'm using Myriad Apple myself right now.

Depends on what you want. I had a Star Trekkish font that looked really good in the menu bar but not so much in emails and what not. A good Helvetica can be servicable. A lot depends on if you're using a theme as well or just Aqua.
