I don't believe it can be done directly.

The only way that I can immediately think of is to output your FCP movie to a dv camecorder, then out put it from the DV camcorder to iChat AV through firewire.

If there *is* a way to stream video to iChat directly, then I'd be very interested in learning about it as well. You might want to consider checking out quicktime streaming server and quicktime broadcaster as well.

Sonicularulus,

Did you post this on Kenstone's forum as well? If not then you should check out that for some possibilities

Kenstone???
never heard of that.
i already thought of doing the transfer to dv then stream it from there, but it is too much work and if you are doing a live feed, and a client wants to do a quick fix...the fix wont be quick...

There is a prgram out there that will allow you to stream the desktop image over iChat. Don't remember the exact name and don't know if it would support the audio stream that may be needed.
Quicksilver 867, 700mhz iBook, 1st Gen iPod, iSight, Newton 2100, and a 128k Mac. All operating and used on a constant Basis

Umm.. it's low tech - but can't you just point an iSight camera at
the screen?

The second mac option mentioned at that keystone link is a great idea, and one I'm definitely going to make use of in the future.
