I'm thinking about selling my MacBook Pro and getting another Mac. It all depends on how much I could get for it.

Here are the specs:

MacBook Pro 15"
2.33 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
2 GB RAM
120 GB Harddrive
Has remaining warranty
No dents, and no noticeable scratches
No known hardware problems

Anyone have any ideas how much it's worth or anyone have any offers?

Thanks!

I'd knock about $200 of the price you paid for it, maybe less. It's a good computer.

list was $2500.... no chance he'd get $2300. I'm guessing $1700 - $1800... especially since the newest generation has the LED LCD upgrade.

yeah... Didn't think about MacBook Pro high prices. The minus -$200 thing would work for consumer Macs.

I paid $2500 + tax for it. I'd let it go for $2200 for sure, but might go down to $1900 or $2000. Any takers?

I doesn't matter how much you paid for it, I paid $2,500 for my 15'' 1.67 ghz Powerbook that would sell for around $850 now.

You do know that Apple sells the newer 15'' 2.2 ghz C2D Macbook Pro with the 8600m GT video card, 2 gb memory, and new LED LCD displays with a full year of Apple Warranty for $1,799 refurb right?

The new 15" Macbook Pros have an LED backlight for their screen rather than a florescent one like that old ones. The LED backlight is supposed to last longer and resist losing brightness over time as florescent ones do.

yea... had they not updated the LCDs this time around... the resell value would definately be higher because the 2.33 would still be faster than the 2.2. But because of the new displays, the 2.2 is more in demand than the 2.33.
