this image is a day or two outdated [the scroll shafts will look less embossed so that the scrollbar stands out more]. But here's a little preview of blackberry, which i will have all finished in a week or so:

I tried having a bit of red in there, but it didnt work well. Oh and i'm releasing this theme with an update of my BlackCherry3 theme, which will be for tiger now. BlackCherry is mostly red with black ontop.
You can see a screenshot of the panther blackcherry3 here: http://penguinn.com/dextop/themes/blackcherryfinal.jpg
I'll be finished both quite soon

I love it dark, but none of the existing dark themes for OS X are usable as there is always text black on black or white on white like it is in your 2nd screenshot besides that the theme looks great.

What program are you using to make that? I do a lot of XP themes with StyleXP... I'd like to make port a few to tOS X.

ThemePark is what you use to them OSX. do a search at MacUpdate.com if nobody here gives you a link... I don't have it handy right now, sorry.

I was looking at the preview in the second post and I have to wonder...where is the light source? Some of the items have light on the bottom, some on the top, and some on both sides. I'd still use it, but with all the graphic artists around here I'm sure one of them would gripe about it sooner or later.
Also, the menubar seems to dark. Even on an LCD it's hard to read "Theme Preview".

I am not sure about this light source confusion..... If it ever had a dark part on top, its because its supposed to have that 'pressed in' look to it.
and the menubar actually lookes like this:
