Here's mine.

Sony CMD-J5
Was my first phone and I liked it, had a great game on it with monkeys going up and down trees, throwing bananas at each other . Accidental death by trying to connect the charger plug in the dark, putting it in wrong and bending the contacts on the bottom of the phone.

Nokia 3310
Well everybody had one of those at some time, and I was a sucker for faceplates and had a shoebox full of them . Still works!

Nokia N-Gage QD
Yes it was me who bought one, it was a nice phone til it died. Did get the rubber bumper replaced though after it got looser and looser.

Motorola V620
Horrible phone, the only reason why I got it was that I wanted a flip phone (my pocket had a habit of phoning people, so I thought a flip would solve the problem).

Sony Ericsson K700i
Great phone, worked very well with the mac, but another victim of a sausage fingered charger plug incident!

Sony Ericsson W850i
My current phone, and similar to the K700i in its interface, but higher res screen. Got a 1GB memory stick with it. Had it for a year or so, about 6 months left on the contract. Next phone? Who knows!

It'll be much easier if you just comply.

ermm. I change my phone every six months or so. I've had so many ... Notable picks:
Apple iPhone - broke!
N95- nice but clunky
N95 8Gb - nice but N95 tops it
t68i - great phone, really really amazing. Slow.
Nokia 3310 - good.
Sony Ericsson W810 - GREAT phone.
Moto V3 - Meh. Lost when sailing.
we don't have time to stop for gas

Numbers two and five from the OP’s picture are my first and last.

In between, I’ve had a multitude of phones bought in China. A Nokia 6210 and a Nokia 6610 (I think), both of which were stolen because I’m a careless klutz. And a crappy old Sony Ericsson model something-or-other that I bought because I was tired of spending money on expensive phones that just got stolen.

And just before coming back to Denmark, I bought a Nokia 6320 or something like that, used. Good phone, except that it died about two weeks after I got back. Took it to the shop who said they’d never seen anything like it: it was filled with solderings and fixations made with what looked like chewing gum, and was completely unsalvageable.

I had the 3310 for about two and a half years. I’ve now had the K700i for almost three and a half years. Might be time to get a new phone some time in the not too distant future, since the joystick-clickwheel-thingy on this one is getting a bit too sluggish to really be usable.

Siemens MT50. Horrible phone.
Nokia 3310. Excellent, it replaced the Siemens that I had on contract.
Nokia 6100. Nice phone, got this after my mum didn't like it.
Sony Ericsson K700i. Brilliant phone, think the antenna was faulty, I ended up always carrying around a 3510i with it.
Motorola V3X horrible phone. Bought a Sony Ericsson K610i 6 months into the contract to replace it, I hated it that much.
Sony Ericsson K610i. Best phone so far. Bought off eBay, because of my hatred of the above phone. It's been through the wars and keeps going. Probably going to replace it with a K850i soon.
Edit: Just remembered the Blackberry Curve that work gave me, not really decided on it yet.

Siemens C25 - loved it.

Siemens S35 - loved it.

Siemens S55 - best phone I've ever owned, wonderfully grungy camera, tinytinytiny yet eminently usable, and my first with iSync support

Siemens S65 - unreliable POS, though beautiful

Sony-Ericsson k800i - Kind of cool, but the interface is horrible enough to make any function I can't access directly via a joystick shortcut pretty much useless. And since I've started to actually *want* to use calendaring and other functionality, I've found that so clunky that I'm really hating it. Also, switching to daylight savings time ****s up the calendar every time. The sliding shutter for the camera is just awful - completely boneheaded design.

My next one will probably be an iPhone.

from left to right...

Kyocera Phantom KE413 - met its end in a strange car door smashing accident
Nokia 6010 - couldn't destroy this phone no matter what I tried
Motorola SLVR - loved this phone, but needed more power to keep up with my appointments and such
Cingular 8125 (HTC Wizard) - current phone...love it. Would love it more if OS X could sync with it natively, but missing sync does the job quite well

Not true. First phone I bought in China (I think it was actually a 6100, not a 6610 … I get these model numbers mixed up) was because my trusty old 3310 did indeek break.

Of course, I’m sure there’s a small-print notice somewhere in the manual that said not to throw the phone out of a window on the fifth floor—but honestly, who reads those things?

August of '04:

The novelty of the slider wore off quickly, and the tiny buttons were almost impossible to push with my gigantic thumbs. The battery would last about 20 minutes by the end of that phone's life.

June of '06:

In its time, it was the only bluetooth-unlocked phone Verizon offered. It was huge, clunky, and awkward to carry in my pockets.

February of '08:

Current phone, I like it so far. I can't send images via bluetooth (suck) but it's quick, light, and very thin. Reception is good, but the microphone kind of sucks - my sister and girlfriend each got one, too, and I have a lot more trouble understanding them now compared to other people.

Motorola T180, Nokia 3310, Sony Ericsson T610, Motorola V3x. Will post pics when I'm at home (I still have them all in working order).

Next up: either a Sony Ericsson K800i or M600i. Haven't decided yet.

EDIT: Oh, and I had a Nokia 8810. Sexy, sexy phone.

If you keep it in your pocket, don't go for the k800i. The ****ing camera slider keeps opening.

Edit: playing with the m600i simulator (Sony Ericsson - Mobile phones - See the phone - M600i --> Try the Phone ) I see that the same stupid interface quirks that are so maddening about the k800i afflict the m600i.

Gah.

I can't even remember which models I had, but I've had four mobile phones total.

First was a greenish Nokia, followed by a Siemens. The last two have been Sony Ericssons (k510i and its predecessor).

What else do you have in your pocket? Mine (K790i) doesn't. But then again, I have a silicone case on mine.

1: a Nokia that I don't remember the model name for, came with the T-Mobile prepaid plan I had briefly in 2005

2: Sony Ericsson K750i, September 2005. Got it unlocked at a store that was a T-Mo dealer and could give discounts on any phones, even their unlocked ones, with a new contract. Camera was better than most at the time. Great phone until the joystick finally became faulty to the point of uselessness last summer. Media player interface was pretty weak, but I could get a lot of tracks on there and used it instead of an iPod for over a year.

3: Sony Ericsson S500i, August 2007. Improves on the K750i in lots of ways, except the camera might be a bit of a step back (no autofocus). Got it unlocked. Would've preferred to wait for the W580i to come out on AT&T, but my previous phone was unusable. Now I have a W580i from switching, but I'm trying to sell it, since it's pretty much the same phone. I'd rather just have some extra money on hand for when the 3G iPhone shows up.

I had some sort of primitive Motorola mobile that was required for work about 12 years ago. Heavy with a very short battery life. It died after a year. That was my one and only mobile phone.

I don't wear a watch either. I'll get there when I get there, okay?

Wow, I think mine is the same as yours sans the second and third. (Actually, I think I had one before that first one, but it was a long time ago and I've totally forgotten what it even looked like.)

Just seen Eug's post and realised that I'd forgot about the T610 I had, It must have been between the 3310 and N-Gage! Was a really great phone, I passed it on to my brother.

It'll be much easier if you just comply.

P.S. I had two T610s. They both had joystick problems.
I also had two K700is. I bought one. It developed the joystick problem so I got it fixed under warranty. It redeveloped the joystick problem so Sony Ericsson replaced it. When the replacement arrived I promptly sold it.

I was deathly scared about the joystick problem with the K800i/K790i but I've had no such problems.

A Sagem Coca-Cola GSM. Got it by drinking lots of coke. Was my first cell, at the age of 12 I think.
Crappy POS. It was quickly replaced by:

Ericsson T18s. Great phone.

T29. Awesome phone. Stopt charging one day.

T65. stop gap phone

T68i. Not bad, not great.

T630i. Good phone.

K750i. Nice phone except for the damn joystick.

Nokia N72. POS.

Nokia 6300. My best phone yet.

I also owned a very small clamshell motorola but I can't remember the type (v3xxx something I think..). About 5cm long and around 90g or less in weight IIRC, light gray color.

Don't know what my next one will be. I could get an iPhone almost for free from someone I know that doesn't use it. But I'm afraid that I can't live with a phone that big. The Nokia 6500 Classic seems to be a very nice replacement phone for my 6300.

EDIT: the Motorola looked like this. I'm still not sure what the exact model number was. It wasn't a bad phone. It had an annoying ringer mode though. You could either select vibrate or ringer but not ringer+vibrate.

I have no idea.

I really don't keep track of the cell phones I've owned/used.

What ever is available for the cheapest price when I sign up for a contract.

I got my first phone in the summer of '03, long after most of my friends. I use my phone for phone calls, so my analysis of each doesn't include all the fancy jazz most of you guys use your phones for.

I started off with the Samsung SPH-N200, which was an excellent little phone on a terrible and spotty service, Sprint. It worked great until I dropped it in a puddle. From then on it would turn off and on when it pleased. Also, it had a crap-ass speaker phone.

When my 2 yr contract was up I ditched Sprint ASAP for NEXTEL and the i730. Again, the phone was excellent and the service was even worse! In fact, the i730 took more damage than any phone would want to see and kept working great including a 30+ foot fall off of a roof that snapped the carrying clip in twain. The interface was clean and snappy as hell, no lag in between the menus, ending calls, etc... The service, oh my god, NETXEL...I hate you. Worst ****ing service I have ever seen...of course Sprint ended up buying NEXTEL merging my two most hated services into one. Also, awesome speakerphone, best I've ever seen.

Lastly I ditched NEXTEL for Cingular, now AT&T, and the 6102i. It was free with the service and had a camera, so I was sold. The service is amazing but the phone...ugh, I can't catch a break here. The phone is laggy, the interface is full of bells and whistles that are not needed, the camera is useless and the phone is about halfway broken apart. I work construction so I can see why NEXTEL phones are so durable, but still. The volume is so piss poor I can barely hear who I'm talking to 70% of the time. Not sure if it's just my phone, or the model but if I sit near my computer the fans almost drown out the sound at full volume. This is my biggest gripe. The speakerphone is loud but causes people on the other end some awful noises, so I can't use that.

I guess I'll add another 2yrs onto my contract and see what kind of phones are available, since buying one outright is not only out of the picture, but stupid for someone who buys cheap phones anyways.

Nokia, 2110, Nokia 5125, Nokia 3320, Nokia 3520, Nokia 6230, Motorola U6 (used for a short period of time, went back to the 6230), Nokia E50.

Best phone: Nokia 6230, still use it for trips as it has the more common old power plug.
Worst: Nokia 3320 and Moto U6, the fist was sub standard, and the PEBL, although good looking, has a crappy interface.

Old nokias are just indestructible.

I've been all-Nokia to date...that ends soon!

1.) Nokia 2260. Basic candybar, blue/black screen, TDMA. Indestructible, fantastic battery, good reception.

2.) Nokia 6102. Good phone for its time, but the glossy plastic scratched. Also had outstanding battery life.

3.) Nokia 6126. Worst I've had. Finish flaked off, battery lasted less than a day with light usage, screen died for no reason, reception was terrible.

4.) Nokia 6555. First 3G (UMTS, not 3.5G) phone. Fast data, when I use it, good screens, decent battery. I got it as a stopgap so I could switch to AT&T for the iPhone.

5.) (FUTURE) - iPhone, as soon as it goes 3G.

Goldfinger, how long ago did you have that Ericsson T18? It looks an awful lot like mine from way back.

My Moto flipless was like this one but without the flip.

I've been an ericsson fanboy since the early days. I still consider the T28 to be a high point in phone design. Compact, robust and reliable.

My K800 was fairly good though. I even got a second one. I'm three weeks into owning an Ericsson K850i and it's a real POS. 5MB camera, well Ok but the rest of the phone is a total arse. The ringers stopped working, answering a call would randomly switch the speaker on and don't get me started on those crappy semi touch buttons.

Smae on you SE.

I was a HUGE SE fan until I got the M600 with Symbian OS (horrible OS by the way) which was so slow and buggy I got a BB Pearl which I mostly loved.

But then the iPhone came along and everything out there including RIM and SE can kiss my ass as nothing comes close to it.

I don't ever see myself buying any manufacturers phone again and just getting the newest gen of iPhones.
