I searched the forum and i found one thread about this... i tried Renamer4Mac, R-Name... and others and none of these did what i wanted... I also tried automator... what i want to do is rename multiple files like this: file (1).jpg, file (2).jpg, file (3).jpg

how can i do this>?

Well I would have said that Automator is perfect for this, but it didn't do what you wanted? What happened?

Sherman Homan: I tried.. but it wont let me put the numbers in parenthesis, it makes it like this: file 1, file 2, file 3 etc.... I want it file (1), file (2), file (3).. etc

If all else fails, just like was pointed out in the other thread, a shell script will do the trick...
