this is a VERY minor thing, but i thought i'd see if anyone else has experienced something similar.

i just bought an iPod mini as a gift for my roommate. he's totally enamored with iTunes, the iTMS and my iPod, so i figured he should have his own. anyway, while it was loading itself up with music last night it kept getting stuck on the same song -- lauren hill to be precise -- and cancelling the sync. i removed that album from the playlist and everything proceeded fine.

i've never seen my iPod get stuck (and the same album loads fine on my iPod). the songs were acquired legally. has anyone seen this?

another thing... if his mini is off and the hold switch is activated, unplugging (or plugging in) headphones will turn it on. weird.

I have not seen the problem you desribed...the only thing similar I can think of, is...I was loading 3 albums of the same artist onto the mini...and for some reason, on the mini, they showed up twice. The artist's name was there twice, and all 3 albums were listed under each name. They didn not show up like this in iTunes. So I removed them...loaded them back...and it went on fine this time. Not sure what might have caused it to do that though.

And yes...I guess it's a feature of the mini, that it turns on when the headphones are plugged in. Kinda nice imo.
