I choose neither - 2-door cars are impractical.

So is the poll for the cars pictured or the cars listed? Because the cars listed are different than the cars pictured. If it were the cars listed, I'd have the A5 2.0T coupe with 6 speed. If it's the cars pictured, I'd have none.

I would choose the Alfa Romeo GTV 2000 with 40mm Webers but it's not on the list
The TVR Cerbera is next. Where are the Great cars?

None of the above. If I was going to buy a car that big, it'd have at least 4 doors.

Well, you listed the "3 series" yet posted a picture of one of my favorite cars of all time, the M3.
In that same vein I'd chose the CTS-V. Mostly because I think the styling of the M3 has gone downhill since the über-sexy '04 M3.

Like the Caddy styling, but no SMG, so it's the ///M for me.

Of those offered, I think the 3-Series coupe is the most interesting looking and most interesting driving. The CTS would be dead last in my estimation-but not because of styling. They apparently still depend on a lot of mass to maintain a smooth ride in a Caddy, though at least the CTS has rear wheel drive. I don't know if Cadillac got the "more mass" idea from Jaguar (which is the mass leader, at least in their older models), but they certainly did make great use of the strategy. Very interesting looking car though.
I'm just not a Audi fan. The A5's styling isn't "bad," but it just doesn't drive me to want one, and to be honest the A5 reminds me of a Ford... I have a lot of experience with Mercedes, mostly involving using a single metric socket to effectively disassemble the whole body. The "legendary Mercedes quiet ride" was based on rubber washers isolating body parts from each other-which made my job of installing (ancient) mobile phones in them particularly dreadful. I'll bet the industry still remembers the phrase "Mercedes noise" when discussing electronics in the Benz.
Let me throw another potential player into the mix:
The Maserati GranTourismo. In blue, of course.

In the case of cars with back seats, what is the case where a four-door less practical than a two?

More practical? Rarely. More convenient? Probably not? Stiffer overall chassis while maintaining the possibility of fitting a couple of extra bodies in the car on the rare occasion you need to? Great.

A lot of sedan-based coupes have the same wheelbase as the sedan model does. For example, the Honda Accord coupe, which I have, has the same wheelbase as the sedan, but because of the lack of rear doors, ingress and egress is actually noticeably easier on the 2 door (it has larger doors). Yet it still has the same legroom of the sedan. So if you're going to be carrying people in the back only every once in a while, I think a coupe could be just as practical. Some 3 and 5 door hatches are the same as well, such as the Golf which I'm sure I'll be shot by the OP for bringing up.

A person of my height can fit in the GranTourismo; not so much in an F1... Awfully pretty car though.

I can't stand the butt of the California, it's like Ferrari's designers got the front end perfect, then started to get more and more drunk as the night went on until they got to the rear end.

Don't get me wrong, the Maserati GT is a nice car. I had the GT S on my short list, just based on beauty alone. Ultimately, though, it just didn't perform the way I expected.
So, I passed on the AMG, the Maseratti, and really don't want a Ferrari... so now I'm really looking at a pre-owned Gallardo Spyder. Talk about a head-turner, ouch!

This isn't a 'your dream car' thread. You're given three cars, you either pick one or pass. Example: pepsi or coke?, you can't say tab.
So is the poll for the cars pictured or the cars listed? Because the cars listed are different than the cars pictured.
Listed… I just tried to get similar photos of all of the cars.
Where are the Great cars?
huh?, what car do you happen to drive?, no offense, just curious…
Some 3 and 5 door hatches are the same as well, such as the Golf which I'm sure I'll be shot by the OP for bringing up.
nah… not the slightest bit problem about it, the more cars vw sells, the more mine is above the average car on the road
Please post of photo of yourself; your appearance a major factor in deciding which car you should be driving.
Who said I wanted or needed advice about what car to get?
That's not an A5, it's an A6... Oh no sorry meant A4... Actually not sure...
Ah, good point, I forget about that option though.
So, I passed on the AMG, the Maseratti (…)
Who the heck are you?. An actor/actress?, some sports/rock star?, we need another poll.

Hi Dakar - if we get enough of those things strapped to our feet we wouldn't need a car. Might get a little squishy though.
