I couldnt play a x264 mp4 file that I have.. so I got rid of divx/xvid and flip4mac, and got vlc player instead.

now the problem is that i can play the file, but only if i open it manually from vlc or tell the file to open using vlc..which sucks cause im trying to watch it using front row and i cant figure out why it wont work through it.

any ideas?

just FYI I searched and didnt find the specific ? i was looking to get answered.

Don't get rid of flip4mac. You're gonna need it. You should also d/l perian.

Front Row can play the video if QuickTime Player can play it. That's it. If QTP won't play it, Front Row won't either.

Front Row can't leverage VLC. Them's the breaks.
