This message just came out with information on the new version of Boinc Manager now being tested.
"Note that as of 6.13, we are no longer supporting PowerPC macs."

That just means that the newer BOINC managers will not be universal binaries. All version up to the 6.12.x series will still work just fine on PPC Macs.
They are still planning on releasing a v7 build for SETI on PPC.

At least the projects that support PPC haven't dropped us yet…
What I don't understand is why there are so many projects that support x86 linux but not Intel Mac. Intel OS X has a much bigger market share than x86 linux but not as much BOINC support.
Maybe linux users participate in BOINC at a higher rate than OS X users?

I agree, I'm sure it is too. But I was lamenting the plethora of x86 linux projects that don't support Intel Mac.
