I just can't get enough of this shot. I must've watched it 150 times since I saw it live.

It's a truly amazing shot with all the surrounding circumstances. The ball had to be hit with great accuracy due to the fact it lied flush against the intermediate rough. That made the shot difficult. Then it was hard enough to have it land perfectly to let gravity take over.

Of course the lingering on the lip there added considerable amount of drama to the shot.

He went on to win that Masters in a playoff against DiMarco.

Not to take anything away from him - but Davis Love III made the same shot (same hole, same pin placement etc.) a few years ago. Granted, he wasn't playing for the win. As much as I "hate" Tiger, the man has had many more feats that would be considered to be better. One reason is simply that this shot also had a large dose of luck involved (as he even mentioned) - and yes, I know you often create your luck - so yes, its a great shot... but I think his shot from the bunker the Canadian Open in '00 was better. 218 yards... 6 iron, over water.. and pretty much landed right over the pin. What makes it amazing is that most people in that position wouldn't even had attempted that shot (sans maybe Mickelson).

Then there's the banana slice he hit at the US Open and landed it about 6 feet away.... this was with a 3 wood... forgot the distance.. 250? The shots this guy can pull off is definitely amazing.

Oh - when I say "hate'... its like when MJ was on top... many folks also hated him. Its just that thing where you just get a bit sick of seeing them all the time (MJ is my favorite athelete of all time though).

I've always been a John Daly fan, but this shot by Tiger Woods was pretty amazing.

That's why I am a Daly fan. Anything could happen depending on how drunk or how much he lost last night in a card game at the casino.

Anyone remember that putt (forgot who did it) that was just trickling for about 50 feet before it went in? Probably the slowest moving and longest lasting putt ever. This was years ago.

If its the one I'm thinking - that was Woods as well... 17th at Sawgrass - the famous island green. Downhill double breaker..... 2000?
