I have a Netgear MR814 wirless router connected to my dsl line and then to my G5, I connect with the router using airport in my iBook. Ok...with that setup I upload at 6k, if I connect the dsl to my computer I upload at 133k. Download speeds are consistent either way about 1135k. Why is my router slowing my uploads to dial up speed?
Thanks
Mike

If your DSL connection is PPPoE, make sure your router is set to an MTU of 1492, not 1500.

My connection is TCP/IP using DHCP. Any other ideas?
Thanks

Finally got around to playing with this and thought I'd post just to let anyone else with the same kind of problem know what I did.
John Strung was on the right track, it just took me some time to get the right number.
DHCP likes an MTU of 1468. I changed that and my upload speeds increased from 6k to 315K.
Thanks for the help John.
