Oh come on people...the most overused buzzword of the year was "FUNDAMENTAL", it took root in john mcain's speech and was used as a mantra to remind everyone by obama how stupid mcain looked (was). Strategically, a great move, but now every other word from pundits and analysts is fundamental, fundamentally, fundamentals...it's like the "basically" of the 90s.
And my other pet peeve is the word "like"...cause, like, everyone puts it in, like, every other phrase....like seriously.... my new year's resolution was to like never use the word like again.
PS-and I like, also fundamentally, hate the phrase "upwardly mobile", I mean really! like what the hell is that supposed to mean......

"Like" is SO not a buzzword. It's, like, TOTALLY Valley Girl Speak

Thinking outside the box. Which typically just means the unproductive unconventional badly thought out idea the boss had.

Next up on Channel 12: The 6 o'clock Opinions Presented as Fact.
I love watching the news in Greece. Often they'll have a "Brady Bunch style" grid on the screen with the news anchor in the middle and eight commentators on the screen at once all around the screen. Invariably a loud argument breaks out among two or more of the commentators and the poor news anchor tries to maintain order but gets ignored.
If I wasn't at work I'd find a good example of this on YouTube.

Unprecedented times..
Unprecedented circumstances...
Unprecedented economic period...
Unprecedented situation...
Unprecedented course of action...
Unprecedented reaction..
etc.
But we do live in unpresidented times.
Oh, wait, we have a president. However, he's not helping.
