the ubb search feature scales even worse than the rest of ubb. a few months ago monish was working on implementing a new search engine that would search forums, news, reviews-in short, all of macnn, in one place. it was incredibly fast, but had some problems, which were still being worked on when the nfn thing happened. since then there has been one thing after the next. i think getting that new search is still on the "list of things to do." i'll check on the status of that project.
