I'm using an older version of Mozilla (1.6) and I'm getting messaging in various other apps (iCal, Safari, for example) saying things like "Get Firefox" which appear in the same fashion as ALT text does when I mouse over things. A right pain in the arse. It seems to be as if Mozilla is still layered over the top of the foreground application and showing the ALT text which would be displayed if this were the case.
Anyone else seen this? Anyone even understand that first paragraph?
Ben

I think you are talking about 'orphaned' tooltips...and similar happens to me - but i don't use mozilla. i believe the error happens because i use Desktop Manager for virtual desktops and OS X's windowing system isn't really aware of them off the bat.
Do you happen to be using a virtual desktop app?

Thanks for the message.
No - nothing out of the ordinary. A bog-standard 10.3.3 installation.
Orphaned tooltips is a very good name for them, though.
