The Sony looks like a nice phone but as far as I can see it is not offered by Cingular, Sprint, Verizon or T-Mobile in Florida. And I don't plan to spend $500 for a phone by buying unlocked.... I really don't care much about the camera feature, so was not an issue for me. Sprint did offer the Sony breifly I think to select customers, but for some reason decided not to market it widely. My bad.

I thought an unlocked phone means you take the sim chip out of your current phone and put it into the Sony phone and it all works--is that not right? I guess the disadvantage is you don't get the price break from Cingular for signing up for two more years...Is that right?

Can someone that has this phone comment on the battery life. I had heard that if you use the music player the battery runs out in under 5 hours.
Is this true?

Agreed, weak 1st phone at an insane price.
Will probably sell well.

Hey, the nano is so small, Motorola should have made a phone that works as an iPod Nano dock. They could support all the things you can support from a dock including music transfer, remote control and using the phone to distribute sound via Bluetooth. Even better, when the Nano starts getting old, you could just chuck it and pop in an all new iPod Pico, if they kept it plug compatible.
