It was a great little feature to be able to bring the dictionary panel in safari just by pressing the combination keys. NOw it's gone. I've trashed the dictionary pref. file and restarted the computer but I could not bring it back.
What is the next step I should try to bring back my dictionary?

THanks.

Check your Keyboard & Mouse preferences in System Preferences and make sure Cmd+Ctl+D hasn't been changed.

After that, I don't know.

I think you have to use the Servcies menu at least once in an app before the shortcuts work.

One day last week, half my keyboard shortcuts just disappeared. Neither the Exposé nor Dashboard functions worked, and Ctrl-Cmd-D stopped bringing up the dictionary. I had to go into system preferences and re-enable all those shortcuts.

I have no idea why they stopped working all of a sudden.

I'm sorry I don't have an answer but if you do figure it out I hope you come back and post the solution. This is a great feature to show-off to Windows friends :-)
