Gmail is normally pretty fire and forget, so why am I having such grief with a client over this. He has an email address that supports pop only so we set up a gmail account and set it to check his pop account and deliver mail to his iMac and MacBook via gmail IMAP. So far so good but I'm busted if I can get it to work smoothly.
The main tow issues are that mail keeps getting moved directly to the trash when collected by gmail (in Entourage and on the web interface) and that Entourage struggles to sync labels (or new folders back to gmail).
Any tips on how to rectify it. He wont switch to Mail.app as he has thousands of mails that he get Entourage to autocomplete when sending but has never added anyone to his address book.
