iMovie 6 is what I have. iMovie 8 sucks. Apple took to much away when they upgraded to version 8. Been looking at this site.. GeeThree: Products: Slick . Guess I'll try some demos and see how they are.

Just looked at slick plug ins and all I can say is wish I would have seen this before I purchased final cut express. For anyone using iMovie 6 or earlier, go check out all the transitions and effects. I can see why apple removed the plugin feature from iMovie 8. Who needs FCE/FCP when you have access to these cool plugins.

Nice chart. Agree whole heartedly. I just purchased volume 1 thru 4. Have to save up for 6 through 10.

Hi

So, I'm pretty knew to the whole plug-in thing ... I got really excited so I started dl some demo's but when I tried to use imovie... every other THREE things i did, it would shut down!!! So, i deleted all the plug ins and imovie worked fine after that. How do I get the plug ins to work? Also... I'm looking for a '24' style countdown timer and '24' style split screen plug in (the different sized and shaped boxes). THANK YOU ... let me just add to that this project is due in a day and i'm freaking out!!!!

Contact geethree for help. I had one problem and received a response real quick. Not sure if the demos have limitations or not. I believe they have those plugins your looking for. You will have to view the previews to find it but remember seeing them. I reported one problem of a crash when reviewing the plugin over and over. Use the preview to see your transition instead of clicking on the transition and playing it. I put together a full wedding using these plugins and they loved it.

Thanks! I'll try them out today. I have Imovie6 and I read about this Rosetta thing and I tried doing it but I didn't get it. I didn't know where I had to make the changes. Is this something I have to do also? Thanks!
