I am getting sky+ installed at the weekend and wondering if I am able to network the box in some way with my powerbook. I understand in records the programmes to the hard disk in mpeg2 format. I would want to get the programmes off the box and onto my powerbook so I can burn to dvd. Is it possible? I can't seem to find any specs on the box to see what connections it has.
Thanked in advance

I got it

There is no easy way toget the recordings off the box, as they are not in any readable format.

Easiest way is hook up a dv camcorder and get the recordings on DV then just run them through imovie and idvd.

Plenty of reading here http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/98785

Good luck , its a great little toy and i would not be without it.

...or buy an EyeTV. They have a digital satellite version now, that takes a Sky subscriber card.

I'm quite interested in the Freeview version.

Let us know how the Sky+ goes though. I think their integration with the EPG is top-notch.
