I have a mac mini and it connects to the dlink router but is getting a internal IP Address. The other computers here are getting a public IP address so I am thinking the wifi card is messed up. Thoughts are welcome.

Check the Network pane to see if DHCP is selected or if it's on Manual.

Yoyoman, you've been here long enough to know that we have a networking forum and that descriptive titles are a must.

So getting on topic. What IPs are the other computers getting? They should be private IPs such as 192.168.x.x etc.

169.x.x.x. are self assigned IP addresses and are meaningless.

What do the rest of the computers connect to? The same D-Link router? If the D-Link is connected as an extension to the network, how is it connected?

Is the D-Link set up to just be an access point, is it a DHCP server, does it point to another DHCP server?

Has the Mini ever connected in this setup?

IT worked all till this morning. They are all connecting to the dlink as a DHCP server that goes to the modem.
