I get this on the desktop everytime I start up the computer.

It might be something left over form an app that you deleted.
Check your login items in Preferences - Accounts - Login Items.
Also, check \Library\StartupItems\, \Library\LaunchAgents\ and \Library\LaunchDaemons\ if there's anything related to this in there.

My Day is part of Office 2008 (don't know about earlier or later versions). It's like a daily reminder that pulls from Entourage calendar.

^ yep. It likes to launch automatically, and it acts like somebody duct-taped a BlackBerry onto your screen.

Thanks for all the help guys. I went and typed "my day" into finder - located the icon - dragged it into the trash - emptied the trash and problem solved.

I just went into my account in System Preferences and deleted the startup app entry for My Day.
