So today I downgraded my B&W G4/500 to Panther. It went fairly well, and wow is it faster now! Unfortunately, I didn’t know about Tiger using RAID v.2 to Panther’s RAID v.1. Now I’m stuck with a RAID that I can’t see unless I start all over again, or do a lot of drive swapping.

Does anyone know of a workaround for this? Perhaps a third-party solution that allows Panther to read Tiger RAIDs?

Thanks!

I see no one’s responded, so I’ll just update anyone that cares to look: I finally wound up backing up the RAID, reformatting, and creating a new one. It was a little tricky (since Panther’s Disk Utility didn’t recognize the disks, I had to do it in Single-User mode, which caused its own headaches), but it worked. Everything’s back where it belongs, and my B&W is zipping along with a new lease on life.

Thanks anyway!
