Hey guys,
I am using InDesign to make my school's newspaper. I would like to automate the process and create an Automator application to perform the following tasks:
1) Split the InDesing PDF into separate files, one for each page.
2) Have selected pages from step one to go grayscale and have replace them with their respective color PDF
3) Merge all the PDFs created

If someone could help me with this, I would appreciated a lot!

Thanks in advance!

There are PDF actions in Automator that will split a PDF into pages, apply a Quartz filter to make the pages grayscale, and combine pages back together. Will those do what you're looking for?
