Here's one: dongle.

Oftentimes I hear or see a word and it just makes me laugh. I can't think of any more right now, but surely there's others that make y'all laugh.

My personal favorite is clevis.

Monkey is a great word, especially when combined with other words. Take for example: spoon monkey, dance monkey, monkey magic, I could go on.

Also think douche bag is quite funny.

Or to badly quote Walter Matthau in The Sunshine Boys, "...the letter K is funny. Words with the letter K in it is funny, such as pickle..."

When I went to Poteau, the townsfolk pronouced the "t" with a "d" sound. Poe-doe. The southern accent is the reason why, I would imagine.

By the way, Poteau is french for "pole" or at least that's what they told me. Why? Southeast Oklahoma was explored by some French people and they named stuff down there. Not that anyone cares, but the reason why they named it Poteau (maybe, they're not for sure) is because the explorers used poles to navigate the shallow rivers through the area.

It's been sunny since March - a bit pishy this weekend though. BTW - whoever told you that Bearsden is pronounced like that is talking out a hole in their heid. Try and say "Tighnabruaich" properly though!

I can't believe that no-ones said any of these either -

Scrotum
Spurt
Felch
