I seem to have a problem. When I right click on an image and try to print, the command is not there. No shaded out, gone. I thought it was under file__>print. Am I missing something?

I just ran into this problem myself.
The online manual says that's where it should be nada, nothing.
So, any ideas anyone?

I actually figured this out. The builds in fink have printing disabled because gimp-print hasn't been ported to Darwin, only to CUPS.

(Knowing I'm not going to like it. )

Transaltion: The Gimp uses its own engine to print, gimp-print. gimp-print has not be been made to work with the Unix base.
Aniword, etc, use a different print engine which the Unix base has built in.
So, in short, you can't print from The Gimp and wont be able to for a Long Time.

To be clear when I said I wouldn't like it, I expected you to tell me to hack out my current GIMP (not sure if I could find all the pieces), and install a newer version.
I wasn't expecting this

All I wanted at the moment was to work on and print some PS templates (CD labels). I see though, out of desperation, that Preview can open the templates. I'll try that route. Gee, and after I got my drivers switched over to CUPS too.
Thanks for the heads up.
