My PowerBook G4 867 (Ti, DVI) won't boot. When I power up the system, the Apple logo appears and the doted circle stops circling. I've tired swapping out the hard drive, and reinstalling Tiger and nothing changes. I've also tried boot offing a working firewire drive, and again nothing happens. I've connected the PowerBook to another Mac via firewire and I can see all of the files are there.

Is my PowerBook G4 dead?

P.S. I just tried to reset the PMU, and nothing changed.

When booted into OF, try "reset-nvram" followed by "reset-all" and see if that helps.

What happens when you start up in single-user mode (hold cmd-s at boot) or safe mode (hold shift at boot)?
