I’ve read Microsoft’s OEM License and this is what I’ve come up with;

I’m a system builder technically; while I am not an orginal equipment manufacturer, an assembler or a refurbisher I am a software pre-installer and I will be selling Customer Service to a 3rd party – my wife. I would not be subject to any other stipulations.

I’m curious on everyone’s thoughts regarding install XP or Vista on a MacBook but purchasing the OEM software as opposed to the retail versions of the software.

Just do it. It's not like the Retail version will get you any (prepaid) support.

I plan to try it - I'll sleep fine at night without paying for a retail copy.

Agreed! And I myself have used OEM versions of XP for the past 3 years.
