"Waiting for local discs" with iPod...

	I am wondering if I am having a problem with my original iPod. There are two things that have been happening recently: 1. During startup of my PBG4 with 10.2.6, the process will pause/stop on "Waiting for local discs" and will not continue until I unplug the original FireWire-connected iPod from the sole FW port on my PB (no FW hub being used). The machine will then finish booting up. 2. Occassionally, when I launch iTunes and my iPod is mounted on the Desktop, iTunes will freeze (spinning beach ball) and will sometimes bring the whole system down with it. Any clues or suggestions? Thanks.
