As a kid, sweets never really excited me. I hate the taste of chocolate (too sweet) and I hate ice-cream (too cold)
I don't know why, but Ive also been quite fond of salt. I would always go to restaurants with friends and family, and the first thing I do is add a bucket load of salt. It just never really tasted right without it.
When Ive got cravings I would go to the supermarket and buy a handful of lemon and eat them with salt, and when I'm not too lazy Ill crush some chilly into it as well. Just the thought makes my mouth water. Mm....Lemon and salt. Also I like unripe mangos with salt, granny smiths with salt, cherries with salt and oranges with salt.
SO.........Am I the only one, or are there others, who love eating fruit with salt, and the occasional chilly as well???

Some cocktails are prepared with a lot of extra salt on the glass rim. That usually adds a more good flavor.

Only if there is a shot of tequila involved.

You're not the only one. I'm a self proclaimed saltaoholic. Lemons and salt, that was a childhood treat that I still enjoy to this day. Burgers? Sometimes I'll salt every bite. Going to a movie? I know my popcorn is all mine because nobody can handle the amount of salt I put on it (large bag of buttered popcorn...they fill half the bage with popcorn, put butter on, I interupt them to salt it then before they put the top half on )
High blood pressure? Not yet...I'll worry about that when it happens

Salt?
No, don't really care for it that much. It causes too many health complications.
The only thing I really like salt on -- more than usual -- is when I eat steak.
But, since I've cut back on red meat I'm not eating that much, no.

Interestingly, there really haven't been any conclusive studies showing that salt causes high blood pressure. In fact, there have been some studies that have shown that no matter how much salt we cram into our bodies, our kidneys are more than happy enough to sort it all out.

I've never been a big fan of salt. Nothing to do with health concerns or anything else, I'm just not that crazy about it. I use it in cooking, but I rarely add any to what ever is on my plate. I think the only exception is corn on the cob.

I use it when baking cookies and eating medium rare red meat. Oh, yeah, and french fries too.

silly me. I read the title of the thread and though it was in refence to some sort of sexual byproduct.
but yes, I crave salt at times, even though I'm not supposed to consume it due to high blood pressure.

It's because you're doing it wrong!
But seriously, kids. You need to give love salts a try. They come in all sorts of sparkly colors and dissolve easily in... the bath tub.
