Has anyone used an MP3 cd player while working out. Not necessarily while running, but with a tune belt? I used an old discman with a tunebelt and it was great while working out so i'm assuming it would be fine.

I'm also wondering about how to set up the disc to play it in the cd/mp3 player. i'm looking at a couple of sony models at best buy that are around $59.99 and i'm assuming you would just burn an mp3 cd from the finder and put it in folders how you would like it.

sony offers software to organize and create mixes - think itunes works?

thanks.

I had a Rio MP3 CD player and it worked great for the first few months, but then after awhile it started skipping after 5 minutes of walking. It was first generation so maybe things have changed.
NOW YOU SEE ME! 2.4 MBP and 2.0 MBP (running ubuntu)

I've got an old cd/mp3 player, it did skip. From what I can remember, you can't burn into loads of folders, I think it's something like 9. I used to burn the disc without the folders & just use the shuffle feature.

I have a Dioneer and have never had a problem with it playing or skipping. I use it both in my car and while cycling and it always plays flawlessly. I just use iTunes to burn MP3s onto data CD-Rs.

Before my iPod, I had a Rio Volt. It worked well, although I do remember it being sensitive to the media used. Sony and Imation CD-Rs worked well and didn't skip or lose songs. The new models look pretty slick.

Have fun... Tony.
