Is there anyway to read EFS (the filesystem used on SGI Irix CDs) on a Mac? A plugin? A program. I understand this might be the Bizzarro Question of the Year

I know Linux can (there is an efs.ko kernel module) and I can mount and read Irix CDs on my Linux box. I have not heard of nor can I find a Mac OS X specific module or plugin... I couldn't even find one for FreeBSD or Darwin.

I didn't even think CDs supported a filesystem.

Every block device needs a filesystem - including CDs. The filesystem is like a street map and the blocks on the device are the houses, and the filesystem tells the OS how to find the houses we want
