Favorites movies of all time or favorite movies at the moment or the last movie you watched?

the last movie i watched was Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. it also appears on my unofficial favorite of all-time list.

it's such a phenomenal movie.

i really enjoyed garden state which i viewed recently along with mulholland drive.

The guilty pleasure list is a long. Long indeed. im a sucker for harry potter. when its on abc family on a sunday night i can't help but watch. the same goes for you've got mail with tom hanks and meg ryan - for some reason. Dirty work, road trip, happy Gilmore � we�ve all got the guilty pleasure list.

other movies i enjoy ... high fidelity, back to the future (c'mon, best of all-time, perhaps?), and i'll have to think about it and see what everyone else says.

just thought of another ... say anything, good flick.

dont know. But it's still my all time favorite movie. never read any reviews on it. been my favorite since it was released i nthe early-mid 90s. Great story, great directing, amazing acting, brilliant script and an awesome soundtrack.

Favorite movie of all time:
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
(I laugh 'til I cry and I know the lines when I watch it - it still
just cracks me up.)

Most recently watched: Van HELLsing......I know, didn't take your
advice and rented it anyway. To me it was more a tongue-in-cheek
horror movie. Some of the lines made me chuckle.
And I kinda like the CG parts : I'd love to learn how to create some
of the effects they did.

Another fave, but can't think of the title.....the one with Robin Williams
where his wife is an artist, they lose their kids in a car wreck, and he saves
her (the wife). Gonna have to drag that one out of the cupboard. Hmmm.

Basically; anything comedy - I'm there. Love the Potter and LOTR movies too!

Favorite movie is probably A Clockwork Orange... Fargo is up there, too. Most recently watched is Network, also a great movie.

I'm going to have to disagree with you and Matt on this one. I made the mistake of seeing Forrest Gump late in its release and buying into all the hype. Tom Hanks was great, but just about everything else was mediocre. Of course, I didn't start hating the movie until it stole all those awards from The Shawshank Redemption, which is a much better movie. Come to think of it, it stole the Best Picture Oscar from Shawshank and Pulp Fiction! WTF?

The novel was so important to me and my growing up, I simply couldn't "like" the film. That book was why I started giving blood, it was why I chose the career I did, and it shaped my moral identity. Much too important a book to "make a bug movie" out of.
