Howdy. One of the workstations that I'm using for rosetta is on dialup. During the day, the machine is on the net a lot, however rarely at night.

What preferences do I need to set to make sure that it keeps enough extra packets laying around, so that it can go several hours without connecting to the net?

If I set "Use network only between the hours of", 8am and midnight, will it keep a couple extra packets to get through the night?

I'm not on rosetta, but if the preferences are organized the sameā€¦ set in the preferences to connect to network every xyz days, set it to 2or 3 days.

I tested "Use network only between the hours of" and all that does is disable network access during those hours. The client is not intelligent enough to keep extra WU's in the buffer.

I set my client to connect every 0.5 days, and that seems to be getting enough units to last the night.

You have think a little more forward for when SETI is down and you can't have new WU from them. Having a "stock" of a day or two or three when you crunch regularly is a safety practice.
