And I'm back with another.

Here's the original:

And here's a quick color boost + contrast and brightness change in iPhoto. I'm trying to make this picture look cool while doing as little as possible to it.

Comments/suggestions?

Create separate masks for the car, ground and sky. Edit them separately. You done well on the sky already with your first try. Add depth of focus to the ground layer. Make sure the car stands out bright and detailed and isn't darkened like you did.

Ouila.

I like it. I actually thought it was a picture of a chase car on a winding mountain road taken through a rear view side mounted mirror. I really did.

I did.

Now add skid marks from the chase vehicle rear wheels.

My original plan was to get the picture of Rob and his spud gun sticking out of the sunroof, but page 3 of the spud gun thread wouldn't open so I gave up.

It was better without the smoke coming off the back. The only thing I don't like is the vignetting around the edges. You should have the road's surface there around the mirror and use a blur brush to kinda put it slightly out of focus. Vignetting is a no no.

Road needs cleaning up and get rid of that grey outline around the trees in the distance. There's also a linear red smear going down across the trees on the left. Either randomize it to make it look natural or get rid of it.

Here's some photoshopping I did for some customers.

The before:

And the After™:
All I did was add a little more saturation in the color, cover the girls ear, and remove blemishes and lines under then guys eyes.

I also cropped it for 8 x 10 printing.
