I think the mirror reflection on the Dock is annoying and makes the active application blue dot hard to see. To kill the mirror open up terminal (found in the Utilities folder in the Applications folder) and type the following two commands:
defaults write com.apple.dock no-glass -boolean YES

killall Dock
To turn the mirror back on change the YES to a NO.

Looks like the same version that's on the Dock when you put it on the left or right

intersting. It looks like your stack bends off the screen if you put a large folder near the end. How do you acess the top of the stack?

By making turning the icons into mini-me versions to shrink the size of the dock. I'm not real happy about munchkin sized Dock icons.

It also turns off the retarded drop-shadows.

Sorry to hijack this thread but can one still customize the dock:

Left right or bottom side of screen?

Can one have the dock disappear until you mouse over it?

Can one customize the size of icons and magnification?

thanks!

Yes to all of your questions. The Dock can be hidden and placed on the left, right or bottom of the screen.

Stacks has turned out to be the most useless retarded feature for anything over 5 files.

It's true, and considering its original functionality, that makes sense - it's just something went wrong at the last minute .

The arcing off the screen seems to be dependent on screen resolution/aspect though - on my 12" screen it goes to a grid with more than 7 files, and 7 fit comfortably on the screen in a fan even at the far right.
