With all this talk about aftermarket cases and backpacks for the powerbooks, Apple has had this long-standing relationship with Brenthaven. I really like the Professional 17 Shoulder Case. It isn't any more expensive than some of the Acme bags, etc. Does anyone here have any experience with it.

would love to hear

thanks in advance

I have it for my 17", and it is great. My laptop feels totally secure and there is a ton of storage in it. I will be keeping it when I order my new 17" in a couple weeks.

I've had mine since day-one with my 17" and absolutely love it. Over time, you grow comfortable with pretty much anything I think, which is the case with my backpack. I now readily know what pocket or compartment is holding what; and when I need to return something to the bag, I quickly and easily can put it where it belongs. A place for everything and everything in its place.

It's not the 17 but I have teh 15 and it is truely a great laptop bag. Roomy, light and hold everything I would ever need.

BTW, great review!!!

I love mine as well. It is so padded, it is the only bag I have ever owned where I don't feel like the laptop is going to get dented if it was to fall off my shoulder (about a 3.5' fall..)

There is a nice airgap of 1-2" on the bottom even before you get to the 1" of padding.
