I'm having the same problem, and I don't use WSX. Also, it seems like app skins aren't being applied when I use Somatic. Other themes (eg Siro) still have app skins.

post a screenshot I don't know what you're seeing. as for the blue elements in your green theme try going to your appearance preference pane and make sure it's on blue and not graphite.

The only app skin problem i have (as previously mentioned) is with itunes. When using the green variation, blue column elements are loaded. The only haxie I am using is shapeshifter.

I am having a problem with safari, any clues what could be the cause of it?

Here is a screenshot.

no problems here, though the text is almost unreadable in several places in itunes (the new iPod preference pane, for one) where it's white on light gray.

The info box, also (if you click on a song and then get info to change the tags) has this problem.

Legibility is rough because there are so many different things.

make safari metalized. the safari and finder buttons are transparent, and the symbol is a light grey, making it hard to see on a white background. since the background of the metal windows is blue, green, whatever, it shows up perfectly and looks like it blends in with the background, because it does, 'cause its transparent.

I noticed this problem too. Seems to deal with controls that are inside the tab panels in carbon applications. For example, the problem with the paragraph settings dialog in MS Word 2004.
