WTF!!!! I WANT MY POWERBOOK!!!!!
Perhaps you posted it already, but what configuration did you order?

So I guess mine just never got a departure scan from Shanghai; since my previous post, it has been tracked as arriving at and then leaving Alaska. I've got hope now for delivery on Friday.

15 inch powerbook, with BTO 1GB Ram, 128 Mb Vid. Card, 100 Gb HD...
I know BTO delays it, but it seems like some of the people saying theirs are shipping or those who have earlier ship dates then mine also have some BTO options.
But...
There's a strong possibility i'm just mad with impatience.

got my 17" yesterday, picked it up in HKG....
the story with the motherboard revision was a very bad information from the other shop, who wanted to drive me into the direction of a 15", since he had no 17" in stock...this is something I did not expect from an apple reseller, but the increasing customer and therefore supplier base will also bring in more black sheeps.
However the owner of the shop where I bought it now told me, that the 17" is short of supply, but due to general a shortage of the 100GB hard drives, this is what he knows.
The first impressions of the 17" PB is good, but unfortunately one thing has to be fixed...the trackpad click button has a contact problem, sometimes when I hold it down, beyond its mechanical pressure point, it will loose the signal....this is very bad, when you are used to drag and drop with the click button pushed down
Anybody else encountered this problem or knows a fix for it ?

I'm so envy to hear that...
I'm also from HK. Still waiting for my PB17. As I use company's $$$, I need to place order via a education-VAR. The Sales just told me that my PB17 will *probably* be delivered next week...
My Apple Wireless mouse is waiting for it's mother...

Finally my PB has shipped! Now I can move from watching the Apple order status to Fedex tracking. As you know the more you track it the faster it comes

Wooooo!
It's here! Arrived about 20 minutes after I posted above!
Now in the process of transferring info from the iBook. First time I've done the auto setup transfer dealy, so I'm curious as to how well it's going to work - especially for the Applications.

OMG, I woke up 5 minutes ago, checked the tracking page right away...it made it from AK to IN to "on vehicle for delivery" overnight. I walked by the front door a minute later and a Fedex van is there. I have to go to work in 20 minutes though I probably have time to open the box.

Ok I ordered a Powerbook on February 5th.
It's a 15 inch 1.67 GHZ SuperDrive with 80 GB and 512 RAM.
It shipped on February 13th and I'm still waiting for it.
Right now, it should be between Shanga and Switzerland.
I'm afraid it will not arrive before next Tuesday or Wednesday...
My girlfriend ordered a 12 inch PB on February 8th and already got it yesterday...Argggggggggghhhhhhhh
Anyway, I can't wait for it to arrive...

Ok, I'm jealous, my PB went from Shanghai to Anchorage to Memphis with all of yours but now it's sitting in Mississauga. I'm worried because the comments are "released for delivery" and it still has a four hour flight to get to Calgary. It arrived in Mississauga at 9:46am on the 17th. I'm hoping that it is catching a late flight out of Toronto and will be here in Calgary tomorrow morning or else I will be

I think it is stuck with all the others going to Europe (I counted more than 400 of them). They have the flight booked for today.
Check www.apecode.com and you'll find out.
My 15 inch is there also.
BTW, I guess this means you will not see it before next Thursday/Friday.
Usually when TNT sends things to Switzerland it takes 5 days only from the Netherland (2 days for the customs there and 3 in Switzerland). At least this is my experience (12 total days before one can really have it; of course Apple says 5-7 days for delivery, but who trusts them anymore??)

Just want to report - got my new Powerbook yesterday, and it is awesome. I'm coming from an iBook 800mhz, which I loved, (and still do, it's a rockin' machine). I used the System Migration tool for the first time, and it's the best thing since sliced soup... plug in the firewire cable, put iBook into target disk mode, and in 30 minutes EVERYTHING was transferred over. I thought I was going to have an evening of installing my software, but it was all copied over.
Amazing. Let's see any Winders system do that....and work!

I just ordered a 12" PB 1.5Ghz using my ADC discount!! I had been using a pismo 400 when mobile, so this will be a great upgrade. I bet I end up using it more than my MDD867 and 20" ACD.
I thank the IRS for sending my refund so promptly.

So it seems everyone gets his Powerbook from Shanghai. I called the Apple Store the other day & they told me my 12" will be shipped from Holland after it got its keyboard from Ireland. Anyone else here?
Btw, order date was Feb. 14, scheduled shipment is Feb. 24.

You know, about all you can do when you're waiting the Long Wait for your new powerbook is entertain yourself with the tracking pages. Here's mine:
Start in Shanghai. Just like everyone else. Powerbook arrives after the cut-off time for shipping, just like everone else. Faint sounds of cursing heard in Shanghai, coming from somewhere far away. (Utah, perhaps?)
Next day, it's on to Anchorage. Okay! It's in the country! Then it's off to Indianna. Indianna?
There it's held briefly because it's an international order. (Curiously, the entry changes from "released for international shipping" or something like that to "held in center.")
Now it's off to Tennessee.
Come back! You're going the wrong way!

Well, that's fair no? You ordered 5 DAYS after me and therefore Apple obviously takes care of your order first!
I am really tired.
Shipment 15 days after the order, flight booked for 3 days after that and still the page is not updated so I have to argue that it still sits in China after 19 days... Well, counting the 3-5 days estimate for shipping and 5-7 for delivering, Apple is really doing a great job, China is sooo far away.
Actually in this way they're losing orders. There were some more people in my workplace that needed a new computer and after seeing the long time it takes to deliver, they went for various peecees with linux. A month ago we were proposing to migrate to Mac OS, but given this performance, they are all now making fun of me...

I'm happy.
My 12" Powerbook has shipped today! That is six days before it's estimate ship date!
Since I went cheap and got the ground service, they said I should receive it within five days. So, I'm hoping, hoping, hoping I will get it before this Friday. I can't wait.
Now, I must start buying my accessories...sleeve for the Powerbook, bluetooth mouse, MS Office or iWork...questions are...which ones?!???

Thank you for the suggestions. Although, I've narrowed it down to the RadTech Powersleeve, RadTech Glove sleeve, or the Crumpler Hymm 12 sleeve. The question is, do I want to pay $50 for the Crumpler or just $30 for the RadTech's? Hmmm...
Too expensive. I don't want to spend that much on a mouse...or do I?
OO.org or NeoOffice (better IMHO) and iWork.
Hmmm...Never heard of NeoOffice. Do they have a good screenplay template?

Anybody know what's happening with the European shipment?
My 15" Powerbook left Shanghai on a flight on the 17th and there have been NO tracking updates since then...it appears to have just vanished into thin air.

It seems like TNT (and Kuehne und Nagel) are not tracking expeditions anymore since last Thursday...

It didn't leave China yet. No idea what's going on. Maybe all these countless new PowerBooks are just waiting for their turn to board the plane.

Ok guys, I've made a very deep analysis, and using all the information I could found browsing the web I came to the following conclusion.
This applies only to European customers.
Once your status shows "Depart terminal Luxembourg", this means that your package will be delivered two days later on.
I would say I trust this analysis with a 90% confidence level...
So if your status shows : Monday depart terminal, LUxembourg, this should mean that you should receive your computer on Wednesday!!"
Here is whathappens in my opinion to your computer after arriving from China.
Let's say your computer arrives in Luxembourg today, on Monday. The same day, it will leave Luxembourg for Nederland, more precissely to Eindhoven where all the European computers seem to be centralized.
Your computer arrives in Nederland on Tuesday.
Then, your computer will clear customs in Duiven and then sent to Eindhoven for its final trip. It should leave Eindhoven during the night and arrive at your flat Wednesday morning.
Based on my analysis, I expect my PB 15" to arrive tomorrow

Wow! This means I should have mine on the 26th (or rather the 28th because the 26th is sat.), I am following your data but 7 days later.
Well, that means almost a month from order to deliver....

@frankd:
Is your status already "Luxembourg depart terminal"?
If that's the case, you should receive your package in no more than 2 days. (3 if you are unlucky)
The only people who get their computers more than 2-3 days after their computers leave Luxembourg, seem to be people living in Scandinavia.
peace

No, I've bought before from apple and it took 4 days only in Switzerland from SG to Geneva. It was sitting at the customs there for 3 days.
Anyway, at the moment my status is "Arrived at EDC", which I don't know exactly what it means, but I see from jaknudsen that I am only halfway through.

What I'm curious about is why my 12" PB shipped out of Suzhou, China and not Shanghai, China like everyone elses.
