I reeeeally hope he didn't get fired, or bored. I honestly don't know what to do all day here at work.
Oh, and I've been wanting to use this picture for the entire thread:

Whatever magic algorithm that image resizer uses is pretty amazing.
I'm surprised at how well it resizes images to various percentages without pixelating them at all - even photoshop's zoom (out) doesn't look that good. A+

Won't it be just a plain HTML resize, thus meaning that Safari (or whatever browser you're using) is responsible for the rendering?
Just guessin'.

That'd be my guess too... a regular expression pattern match of document.getElementById('divtag').innerHTML for img tags, followed by reducing these values.

It really, truly, does not matter. Everybody knows what people mean based on their sentence or subject matter. You're coming off pretty rude.

I don't think so.. I'm using Firefox and using just the width/height attributes of the IMG tag make images look a little funny (at least in my experience), unless the latest update to 1.5 improved IMG display/rendering.
At any rate, it looks nice to me on the forums.
It uses inline CSS instead of the HTML attributes to resize. I lose.

Technically, it does matter, since they're two different things. It's like any other word that sounds the same but is spelled or written differently...their/they're/there, you're/your, are/our, etc.
Everybody knows what people mean based on their sentence or subject matter.
That doesn't excuse grammatical errors - ever. Saying that it's okay to use "then" instead of "than" because people know what you mean is going to be the demise of the English language.
You're coming off pretty rude.
I was just being honest. Google would clarify such a thing, and the "shiny white/aluminum" bit is just a little sarcasm on my part, since I'm not really an apple fanboy.
And the part about geek girls not liking the blonde sorority girl type who claims to be geeky because she owns a Mac and a fancy cell phone is completely true. The blonde non-geeks make it a lot harder for the rest of us actual geeky females to gain any credibility in the IT world.
That and I was crabby today. Sorry.

It's not HTML, but yeah. The Javascript basically just says "Hey image, you're wider than 480 pixels! Get down, you little hooligan!" Nothing out of the ordinary involved.

Yes, well, if I used a generic username, I'd have lots of results, too. So much for being unique.

I dunno, the username "loki" (omitting the 74) yields 10,800,000 well beyond Cats's 2,090,000, and thereby most of the others. However, I'd say that loki without the 74 is still pretty unique as sn's go, as is "C.A.T.S. CEO." Alas, I get pwned by all if I include the 74. lol.
I think the reason you score so low is because because your sn is not composed of words or phrases which are commonly known, (is it made of English words at all?) as opposed to being unique.
To OP: welcome!

I'm not sure a major Norse deity is all that unique. And "cats" without the "CEO" yields a simply obscene number of results.

That's the definition of a unique screen name - one that nobody else has. If it's a word that's in the dictionary, it's not unique.
And, yes, it's based on actual words. But it's unique enough that if you google it, every result is something to do with me. So I'd lose in a googlefight, but I've managed to keep that screenname associated with me exclusively for nearly six years, so I'd say it's a win.

yes, I'll admit, my sn is not nearly as unique as some of the ones around here... I suppose I should have said "not generic."

There are some things not in the dictionary that are most definitely not unique, and would certainly have sh!tloads of hits on a Google search. "asdf," for example...

In all seriousness, even if she is the type of girl shifuimam describes that's ok. I once made out with a Mac chick by installing a stolen version of M$ Office on her iMac.
So either I was a wicked hot geek, or she was a slut. Yeah, I wonder which one...
