We need more peanut butter conspiracies.

Based on the music of the Colonel Bogey March, this bit of silliness is just that. There's a brief but informative Wiki article on it, (where I got the title of the music), that helps detail how widespread it is/isn't. Oisín, I'm not surprised you haven't heard it; you didn't grow up in North America.

This reminds me of a Campbell's Soup commercial. "When you have a sandwich, Campbell up!" That bit of music comes from a very small Lucile Ball movie called "Best Foot Forward" from 1943. It's been called "the best fight song ever," and it's a really cool tune; when applied to a soup commercial jingle, it really works. (Search for the title in iTunes-there are a lot of versions there.)

When I first came across this thread (day 1), I thought "well that's odd".

In my own little caved niche I figured that the title was written but font-whited out. And I thought "well that's odd, must not be important".

In my ignorance I eventually tried clicking on the font-whited-out thread title with no success. "That's odd I thought, must be some bug".

Then one night in a drunken stupor, I clicked on the last post and read all pages, and I was reminded of Dr. Seuss. Something about green eggs and/or some other things..

Still odd and not important, but it did make me write this post.

Get easy access to special characters by installing the Character Palette in your menu bar. Go to System Preferences, click on International then the Input Menu tab, then click the checkbox for Character Palette. Now, when wanting to insert special characters. The palette will now appear in the menu bar on the top right and will be grouped with any other languages you have enabled.

And for quick access (in most apps), just press Cmd + Alt + T to open the Character Palette.
