I am wondering when using final cut express if it is possible to make the preview video show up on a TV. Is it possible to do this? Also if any one has suggestions let me know.

Thanks Chris

plug a DV camera or deck into the firewire port on your computer and the video in on the monitor.

I always have a DVCAM deck plugged into my mac when editing. I just go from the output to my monitor.

If that is too pricey, a DV camera will work just fine.

If you can afford a DVCAM deck, you should buy one. When you are searching though tapes, you want to be gentle on your camera motors.

The DVCAM option is too pricey for me at the moment (not that I wouldn't love to have it!). I hook my MiniDV cam up to my PB via. firewire, close the display of the cam and run the svideo-out port to a sony ntsc monitor I got on ebay for $250.

It's in no way the prefered method right, but it works for a cheap fix.
