I am trying to run software that requires a parallel dongle (Bernina Designer 3.0) on my mac through Virtual PC. I use a Keyspan serial adapter to transfer designs to the machine, but the new Designer software requires the use of a parallel dongle as a security device. I have a parallel-to-usb converter that I normally use for one of my printers, and it IS the PC version, so the PC will recognize it as a secondary parallel port.

The problem is that the software only looks on LPT1 for the dongle. There is no other way to convince it to look on LPT2. Virtual PC 4.0 creates a "soft" parallel port to capture print data and send it to the Mac side on LPT1, already taking that port. I want to be able to remap that to LPT2, so I can have the adapter on LPT1. Understand that?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
