Any new on this? I read on CNET that England is getting all 6 models on the 24th of this month. I hope the 3Gs make it to the US by then.

So today Apple says they're delaying iPad's overseas launch by a month. I'm wondering if that means an impact to the U.S. 3G ship date...which still hasn't been annouced. It's the middle of the month and still no word?

Something about that doesn't make sense. Apple knew for weeks in advance when the WiFi version would ship. They don't know more than a few days before the 3G version willship? I hate to fall back on the standard 'blame AT&T' excuse, but I'm wondering if the reason is something other than hardware?

I think it has to do with the FCC. Apple can't sell the machines until the FCC grants approval, and the government works in mysterious ways (when it works).

Certainly none from the scalpers. On the day they announced the international delay, a bunch of iPads marked up 100% showed up in my local Kijiji and Craigslist pages, some even referencing the delay.

I ordered a 32GB iPad 3G with the Apple case. The iPad is set to ship "late April" and the case "May 5" as of this post. I find it interesting that the case, which I presume is the same as that for the iPad WiFi, is shipping in May, and not with the iPad itself.

We had them here within 2 days of the US launch and selling like hotcakes with about USD$200 markup, now the price is less than USD$100 mark up off the base retail price.

We only seem to have the 16GB model here at the moment, with plenty of supply in the computer stores.

Ya, we had them here from the start as well, but not very many and they weren't selling very fast. Now, with the delayed launch, more have shown up and their price has jumped as well.

Received an email from the Apple Store this morning stating that my pre-order 3G will be shipping in late April. Perhaps the May 7th date is for those who order today.

I'm still gonna pick mine up in-store whenever that happens. I have a lot of Best Buy rewards points that I plan on applying towards it.
