I don’t trust each of those emails to go to exactly the same freakin’ “new terms of service,” so I’ve saved each one to compare them. I got more than one for each of my different (purpose-specific) Gmail accounts. This lack of one-to-one thing is part of why I feel the need to compare them.
However, 9 to 5 Google says that the biggie is that Google says they won’t claim ownership of AI-generated output. Which sounds vaguely too altruistic for Google, so I’m suspicious.
My own irritant is people who drive 20+MPH faster than the posted freeway speed limit in a full-size pickup truck IN THE FREAKING RAIN. IN THE HOUSTON AREA. Sorry, did I raise my voice there?

Another in the long line of tech companies making the internet worse:
On any forum or site that allows Google authorized login, Chrome now shows a pop up where I can choose which Google account I want to use to log in to the site.
I did this fix a while back and it has made no difference. The pop up actually BLOCKS the site's native log in button where I'd enter my actual username and password, I have to dismiss the Google pop up every time.

Apple and Dropbox not getting along.
This almost became a major irritant yesterday. Dropbox can’t sync Logic files. Local versions are fine, so normally not a problem. We zip them for sync.
Inexplicably, a batch of local files got switched to online, effectively destroying them. Even if we wanted to shoulder the embarrassment of asking the person they’re recordings of to do it again, they’ve since moved out of state.
Thankfully, CrashPlan did its job.

Why why why why why
For how many people is the desired workflow Weather App > News About the Weather? For how many people is the workflow Weather App > The Fucking Weather Forecast?
https://discussions.apple.com/thread...By=best&page=1
Is Apple getting paid for Fox Weather click-throughs?

I thought you might chime in.
Lesson learned. Thankfully no lasting damage. Plan going forward is to shuttle them off Dropbox. To be fair, it wasn’t a problem until now. Dropbox really shouldn’t delete a local file without being asked.

Apple News notifications have long since been disabled.
I deleted the News app completely yesterday. Today the weather app is back to normal, though I don't know under which specific conditions it would choose to insert a news link in front of the weather.
