so i've run into the same problems mentioned earlier on these forums. My problem is, it wont let me back into the mac OS. It starts up with the chime and white screen. then goes to the "disk error, press any key to restart". Any ideas? my wife will kill me if i cant get her mac back, thanks!1

Hold down the "alt" key on startup to get to the selection of bootable disks.

Once you're back in the Mac OS, you can set the Mac OS to be the default booting system in the "Startup Disk" pane of the System Preferences.

Let me guess: You were trying to install XP into BootCamp? You need to reformat the Windows partition using the option during the Windows install. Else, you'll get that disk error message.
