I bought a new battery for my iBook 600. Out of the box it has three bars (our of four) charge.

Do I put it in and run it down to nothing, or do I go ahead and charge it to full, then run it down?

I want to be sure I condition the battery for the most longevity. How do I do that?

Thanks!

Yes, they actually do.

I bought my brother an iBook some time ago and the manual stated exactly this procedure.
