We are inclined to merge (MacPro / PowerMac) with (iMac / eMac / MacMini) into a single Mac Desktops forum. This is primarily a function of decreased traffic in the Pro forum - most people are buying and talking about the less-expensive desktops.
It's also been suggested to move Gaming into the Community section, nearer the Lounges.
Does anyone have feedback? There are complimentary eggs and tomatoes to the right.

It'll be much easier if you just comply.

I also think it's a good idea to merge them.

If you take "Gaming" out of the "Other Topics" and put it into "Community", that only leaves 2 topics in "Other Topics". I'd say you might as well go 1 step further and get rid of "Other Topics" then, and put "Networking" in "Hardware" and find a place for "Art & Graphic Design".

The logic behind moving gaming is that, especially in recent years, gaming has become very much a communal experience. The forum itself has also matured in traffic levels beyond what was ever expected when it was put among the Other low activity forums.

Merging the desktops is a good decision, but moving the Gaming serves no purpose at all unless the entire Other Topics category is nuked. Currently, that topic is the only draw for people to that category.

Decreased activity in the Pro forum? That's not the official Apple line!
Everyone knows Apple is not dropping Pro support and FCPX is just as good as it has to be, and you don't need Shake anyway. Or XServe.
Or thunderbolt on a Mac Pro.
Apple is not planning to phase out the Mac Pro. Nosiree. I got that confirmed by some intense Apple fanatics on an internet forum somewhere.
This is just a coincidence.

There was decreased activity in iMac too. Either everyone is moving to notebooks / tablets, or desktops have fewer problems.

I like all the proposals, but I'll also defer to D&L WRT the gaming forum.
