This is probably one of my most favorite games of all time. It's the game that really got me into playing online with other people.

I was wondering, because I was considering returning back to my old map-making days. It was really fun, and I miss it. I know there are a few people on PlayMyth.net, and I think marius.net died out.

Man, it would be so awesome if we could somehow get a carbon version of Myth 2, and even the tools. Wouldn't that be sweet.

Myth 2 was one of my favourite games, despite my tastes now running to Counterstrike, Ghost Recon etc.

If I ever get myself a G4 that can boot into OS 9, I will definitely start playing Myth again.

Myth II got me over the 'playing-with-strangers-online' threshold, it was soooo great. Unlike some, I especially liked the ingame browser, which IMHO had some features you don't find in most games today.

Coincidentally, I downloaded the demo for PC just two days ago, when I tried to convince our weekly office LAN game clubbers to try it out. I think I might have succeeded, next week will tell

Myth III never really worked for me, the graphics got worse, IMHO. It's like an experiment I once did with Snood - I replaced the ugly, pixelated faces with cool design icons of my own, and suddenly the game just sucked There is something truly evil about that game.

I'd like to play Myth - if someone carbonated M2, or if I started liking M3, I'd be there.

Oh, Bungie

Haha, yeah. Old times. Yeah, I had that out, and like four or five other projects I never completed and just let die ever since BNET went down. I had a solo project going and everything.

Here are some screenshots from Angel Valley (part of the solo project):

And here are some from Knuckle of the Oasis (my first real attempt at a decent map). Had lots of fun with my clanmates on that one :

Maybe I'll start making maps again. I miss it.

Thanks! Yeah, it was really fun times making maps.

And I remember MIA. I was in Muirthemne Militia. We were all pretty popular.

OMFG! WTF! WTF were you thinking mb!? You didn't see the GDF Tr0 mb!?!?! GFDI!!!!! WTF!

Good times, man. I really miss it. I e-mailed Take2Studios about maybe a carbon version of Myth 2. I'll keep bugging them twice a month for the rest of this year.

Maybe we should set up a petition for a Myth II port. I know I'd sign it. I spent hour after hour playing King of the Hill, Steal the Bacon, Capture the Flag....

Actually, it'd be best if, like Marathon 2/Infinity, the old Myth games were open-sourced. Given how poor Myth III was, there might be a chance of convincing the source owners. Or perhaps Omni could be talked into porting them.

All wishful thinking, I'm afraid.

Hmm, if Bungie Still owned the rights to Myth 1 and 2 I'm shure they would open source it. Hmm...... I would sign this petision too. Mindfad you wanna start it?

Take2 Interactive owns the Myth series rights, as far as I know. Bungie sold them to Take2 before they were bought. I guess to keep MS from getting them. I doubt they would care about doing such a thing. Maybe we should all e-mail and pester them every few weeks. I plan on it.
